Lodging
Where should I stay?
We have a room block at The LaSalle Chicago, which is directly across the street from our venue. The room block will remain open until July 31st, 2026 or until filled, so we encourage you to book early. This is where Elizabeth and Andy will be staying!
For those who prefer a different hotel, we recommend the following which are all within ~5 minutes walk of the venue:
Transportation + Arrival
Where is the event located?
Our ceremony + reception will take place in the same building at 190 S LaSalle Street. During the week, this is a place of business, but is closed to the public on weekends. Our event will be the only one occurring in the building day-of. The ceremony will be held in the lobby, right inside the entrance on LaSalle street. The cocktail hour + dinner reception will occur at The Library on the 40th floor.
What is the best way to get there?
If you are coming in from out of state, O’Hare International Airport is the largest airport in the area with the most flights daily. Midway Airport is another, smaller option with good regional flights.
Taxi / Ride-share is the fastest and most recommended way to get downtown. With Chicago being so walkable (and so limited in parking), we do not recommend renting a car, unless you plan to stay longer and want to sightsee outside the city.
Both airports are connected to downtown Chicago via the CTA “L” train (O’Hare on the Blue line and Midway on the Orange line). If you’re feeling up to an authentic Chicago experience, you can take both trains direct into the city for a small fare.
From O’Hare, take the Blue line toward the Loop to the Monroe stop.
From Midway, take the Orange line toward the Loop to the Quincy stop.
Will there be parking at the venue?
Our venue does not have dedicated parking. Downtown Chicago, especially in the Loop, is extremely limited and relatively pricey when it comes to parking, which is why we recommend staying at one of the many hotels nearby. Almost anywhere in the city can be reached via taxi, ride-share, public transportation, or walking!
Event Details
What is the dress code?
Formal (black tie optional). Tuxedos and gowns are welcome, but a suit and tie or a cocktail/long dress will fit right in.
Can I bring additional guests?
We kindly ask that you only bring the guests listed on your invitation. While we wish we could celebrate with everyone, due to space and planning considerations we’re only able to accommodate those formally invited.
Can I bring kids?
Due to venue restrictions, our wedding will be an adults-only event.
Will the event be indoors or outdoors?
Our entire event will take place indoors, though you’ll be treated to some spectacular views of the city and Lake Michigan from the 40th floor of our venue!
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes! Please let us know your allergies or dietary restrictions in the designated section of your RSVP so we can ensure they are accommodated.
Wedding Registry
Where are you registered?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, if you still feel inclined to send a gift, our registry details will be forthcoming.
Please note that Andy and Elizabeth share a very cozy studio apartment with extremely limited space, which is why our registry will look a bit more sparse.
